The North Sea coast is facing profound transformations. Sea-level rise, storm surges, and ecological pressures are challenging established planning paradigms. Through critical mapping and spatial strategies, the exhibition opens up an in-depth engagement with the North Sea coast as a space of permanent transformation. Curated by faculty and students of Architecture and Urban Design at Jade University of Applied Sciences, it understands the coast as a laboratory for regenerative urbanism and develops new spatial strategies for a dynamic landscape in transition.
The exhibition presents work from the Department of Regenerative Urbanism, including results from three courses from the current semester, a final thesis in Urban Design, video recordings, and a specially commissioned photographic work by Italian photographer Alessandro Cristofoletti, whose practice explores the relationship between humans and landscape.
The exhibition will be on view there from 07 July 2026 to Friday, 28 August 2026.
