Prof. Dr. Radostina Radulova-Stahmer

Radostina Radulova-Stahmer is architect with a focus on urbanism and is full professor of Urbanism at the Jade University of Applied Sciences in Oldenburg, and is heading the chair of Regenerative Urbanism since May 2024.
Her interests in teaching and research include the ecological transition on an urban and territorial scale. In particular, she works on the question of how spatial design and spatial research can contribute to acting within planetary boundaries and regenerating the biosphere in order to effectively reverse the climate crisis. She advises foundations on research projects and serves as an urban design expert on national and international competition juries.

She received her diploma in architecture (with distinction) from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and completed the accompanying degree in Applied Cultural Studies in 2010. She completed her doctorate (Summa Cum Laude) on the topic of “Urban Space in Digital Change” at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the Graz University of Technology in 2021. After ten years of academic professional practice at various universities, she was appointed Professor of Regenerative Urbanism at the Jade University of Applied Sciences in Oldenburg in May 2024.

Stefano Tornieri PhD

Stefano Tornieri holds a doctor in architecture and has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Regenerarive Urbanism sice March 2025. He is interested in productive landscapes and how extractive, linear practices can be tranlated into regenerative and circular ones.

Previously, he was a Research Fellow at I.RIDE (Infrastructure Research Integral Design Environment) at Iuav University of Venice (2016–2023), a Visiting Fellow at FAUP University of Porto in 2014, a Senior Lecturer at LTU Luleå University of Technology in 2023–2024, and a Canon Research Fellow in 2024 at Nagoya University in Japan. In his professional practice, he was nominated for the EU Mies van der Rohe Award in 2019 and served as curator of the Grenada Pavilion at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale. He will exhibit at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale curated by Carlo Ratti.

Stefano Tornieri PhD

Stefano Tornieri ist promovierter Architekt mit Schwerpunkt Städtebau und seit März 2025 als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiteran der Professur für Regenerativen Städtebau tätig. Sein Interesse fokussiert sich auf produktive Landschaften und die Frage wie extractive, lineare Praktiken in regenerative und zirkuläre übersetzt werden können.

Von 2016 bis 2023 war er Research Fellow bei IR.IDE (Infrastructure Research Integral Design Environment) an der Iuav Universität Venedig. Darüber hinaus sammelte er internationale Lehrerfahrungen als Visiting Fellow an der FAUP Universität Porto im Jahr 2014, als Senior Lecturer an der LTU Luleå Universität für Technologie (2023–2024) und als Canon Research Fellow an der Universität Nagoya in Japan im Jahr 2024. In seiner beruflichen Laufbahn wurde er 2019 für den EU Mies van der Rohe Award nominiert und war Kurator des Grenada-Pavillons auf der 17. Architekturbiennale in Venedig. Bei der von Carlo Ratti kuratierten 19. Architekturbiennale in Venedig wird er ebenfalls ausstellen.

Studentische Hilfskräfte / Tutor*innen

May Haßler ist seit 2025 am Lehrstuhl für Regenerativen Städtebau im Fachbereich Architektur tätig. Sie schloss 2026 ihr Bachelorstudium an der Jade Hochschule ab. Ihr Arbeitsschwerpunkt liegt im Umgang mit dem Gebäudebestand und umfasst insbesondere die Strategien „Prevent, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle“. Im Team ist sie verantwortlich für die RESET Städtebau-Vortragsreihe organisert durch das Fachgebiet Regenerativer Städtebau.

B.Sc. Maximilian Hofmeister

Nach seinem Bachelorabschluss im Studiengang Urban Design an der Jade Hochschule im Jahr 2026 arbeitet er am Fachgebiet für Regenerativen Städtebau im Fachbereich Architektur. Dort ist er seit 2026 Teil des Symposiumsteams „Grounding Territorial Regeneration“. Sein Schwerpunkt innerhalb des Teams liegt auf der Ausstellungsgestaltung und der Wissenschaftskommunikation.
